Content & Listings Policy
1. Purpose and scope
This Content & Listings Policy explains the standards that apply to listings, photos, logos, ratings displayed from third-party services, and other content on Baipar. It supplements Baipar’s Terms of Use and applies to users, listing owners and representatives, contributors and other people who submit or manage content on baipar.com.
Baipar is a marketplace and discovery platform. Some listings are submitted or managed by the entity they represent, while others may be created or enriched by Baipar from public-facing sources. The presence of a listing does not necessarily mean that the listed entity created, endorsed or verified it.
2. Listing status and source labels
Baipar may distinguish among owner-submitted or owner-verified information, Baipar-researched or public-source information, imported information, and information that has not been publicly verified.
A source match, import or public reference is not the same as owner verification. Baipar may use status labels, source records and internal verification notes to help users and listing owners understand how information was obtained.
Where information cannot be supported with reasonable evidence, Baipar may leave the field blank, mark it as not publicly verified, request clarification, or remove it.
3. Submitting, claiming and managing a listing
If you submit, claim or manage a listing, you must be authorized to act for the entity represented and must provide information that is accurate, lawful and reasonably current.
You must not claim a listing you do not control, impersonate another person or organization, provide false ownership evidence, or use a listing to mislead users about an entity’s identity, credentials, affiliation, services or location.
Baipar may request reasonable evidence of authority before approving or transferring a claim. We may refuse, pause or reverse a claim where the evidence is insufficient, conflicting or appears fraudulent.
Listing owners and representatives are responsible for updating information they control when it materially changes.
4. Baipar-created and unclaimed listings
Baipar may create, classify, enrich, merge, update or maintain an unclaimed listing using public-facing sources reasonably related to the entity’s public activities. Sources may include official websites and social pages, public maps and directories, booking or reservation pages, government or municipal open data, and professional or regulatory directories.
Public information can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Baipar does not guarantee that every researched listing is complete or error-free. We may retain source URLs, verification dates and internal quality notes to support correction and review.
A listed entity or affected person may request a correction, claim review or appropriate removal of personal information. Baipar may preserve non-personal public entity information as an unclaimed listing where it is lawful and useful to the marketplace.
5. Content standards
Content submitted to Baipar must be lawful, relevant to the listing or service, and reasonably accurate. You must not submit content that is:
- fraudulent, deceptive, fabricated or materially misleading;
- defamatory, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, hateful or abusive;
- obscene, exploitative or unlawfully violent;
- privacy-invasive or contains personal, confidential or sensitive information you are not entitled to disclose;
- infringing of copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy or other rights;
- spam, malware, malicious code, mass solicitation or content intended to manipulate Baipar’s systems, search results or rankings; or
- otherwise unlawful or inconsistent with Baipar’s Terms of Use or platform integrity.
Baipar may edit formatting, normalize categories, remove duplicate material, correct obvious technical errors or request supporting information without changing the substance of legitimate owner- or contributor-submitted content.
6. Google Maps ratings and review links
Baipar does not accept, host, moderate or publish user reviews. Where available, Baipar may display an aggregate Google Maps rating, such as a numerical rating and star indicator, under a listing name.
The displayed rating is third-party information obtained from Google Maps Platform and is controlled by Google. Baipar does not calculate the rating, select the underlying reviews, or decide which Google reviews are published, removed or counted.
If a user clicks the rating or a review-related action on Baipar, the user may be directed to Google Maps to read reviews or leave a review there. Any review is submitted to Google, not to Baipar, and is governed by Google’s terms, policies and moderation systems.
Google Maps ratings may change over time and may be unavailable for some listings. Displaying a Google Maps rating does not mean that Baipar has independently verified, endorsed or adopted the opinions reflected in Google’s review system.
Google Maps content displayed through Baipar should be presented with the attribution and linking required by Google Maps Platform.
7. Photos, logos, trademarks and other media
When you upload a photo, logo, video, trademark or other media, you confirm that you own it or have sufficient permission to allow Baipar to use it for the listing or service. You are responsible for any licence, release or authorization required for people, artwork, music, trademarks or other protected material in your upload.
Baipar may use entity-focused media for researched listings only where we have a reasonable basis to do so. Public visibility alone does not necessarily give Baipar a right to republish an image or logo.
Rights holders may contact Baipar to request review of disputed media. Baipar may remove, replace or temporarily disable media while a rights issue is assessed. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to identify the work, the rights holder and the disputed use.
8. Community, country, language and service attributes
Baipar may display community or country connections, languages spoken, service modes, accessibility information, amenities and other discovery attributes. These fields are intended to help users search and filter; they are not guarantees about identity, ownership, quality or legal status.
Community or country connections should be based on a genuine, supportable relationship to the entity’s ownership, founders, mission, clientele, cultural focus, products, services or public identity. Baipar may decline unsupported or misleading connection claims.
Language, accessibility, amenity and service information should not be treated as false merely because public evidence is unavailable. Baipar may use states such as not publicly verified or leave a field blank until it can be supported.
9. Sponsored and paid visibility
If Baipar offers sponsored placements, featured listings, advertising or other paid visibility, paid status does not permit false information or manipulation of Baipar search or rankings.
Baipar will identify advertising or sponsored content where disclosure is required or reasonably necessary to avoid misleading users. Payment for visibility is not an endorsement, certification or guarantee by Baipar.
10. Moderation, corrections and appeals
Baipar may review, restrict, edit for technical presentation, decline, unpublish or remove content where we reasonably believe it violates law, this Policy, the Terms of Use, platform integrity or the rights of others.
We are not required to pre-screen every listing or upload. A decision not to remove content does not mean Baipar endorses it. Google Maps reviews and their moderation remain under Google’s control.
If you believe content is inaccurate, abusive, infringing or improperly associated with you or your organization, contact info@baipar.com with the listing or content involved and a concise explanation. We may request reasonable supporting information.
Where appropriate, Baipar may restore content, correct a listing or reconsider a moderation decision after receiving new information.
11. Enforcement and repeated abuse
Baipar may warn a user, limit features, suspend content, reject a claim, suspend an account or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address repeated or serious violations.
Immediate action may be taken where delay could create legal risk, harm another person, compromise security, facilitate fraud or materially undermine platform integrity.
12. Changes and contact
Baipar may update this Policy as the platform, moderation tools or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published on baipar.com with its effective date.
Questions, corrections, listing concerns, rights complaints and takedown requests may be sent to info@baipar.com. Mailing address: 338-50 Burnhamthorpe Road West, Mississauga, ON L5B 3C2, Canada.
