Getting a usable photo
- Daylight, or near a window. Overhead restaurant lighting makes food look grey.
- Shoot from slightly above, close in.
- Photograph the dish as it is actually served, not a styled version.
- Be consistent — the same angle across the menu looks deliberate.
Photos are optional. One good photo beats six poor ones.
