Frequently Asked Questions

01What should I expect at one of your sales?

Weekend events (Saturday and Sunday) run 9am to 4pm, with most brides lining up at 8:30. Weekday event hours are 3pm to 9pm. Before doors open, someone comes out to explain what to expect. Dresses are arranged on racks by size so you can browse easily.

02Can I try on a dress at your shows?

Yes. We normally have 24 large change rooms, up to 32 where space allows and 20 in a few smaller venues. You may take up to three dresses into a change room at a time so that plenty of dresses remain available for other brides.

03How much do your dresses cost?

Dresses range from $399 to $1299, thousands of dollars less than typical retail prices.

04What sizes do you carry?

We cater to a range of sizes, from 2 to 28.

05Do you sell only white bridal gowns?

The vast majority of our gowns are white, but we also carry ivory, diamond white, blush, champagne and, on occasion, other pastel hues. The colours available on the day depend on our selection from suppliers.

06What designers do you carry?

We carry a large collection of popular international and Canadian designers. Because inventory turns over constantly there is no up-to-date list, and as part of our agreements with designers we are not able to advertise them by name.

07Can a dress be put on hold?

No. Dresses are sold on a first come, first served basis.

08Do you have an online store?

No. We do not have an online store, are not set up to package and ship dresses, and do not have a traditional bricks-and-mortar retail outlet.

09How many guests can come with the bride?

We ask the bride to bring up to five guests, as venue space can be limited.

10Do I need to buy a ticket?

Admission is free and tickets are not necessary. The Early Access VIP ticket ($40 to $50) lets the bride and four guests in before the doors open to the public, guarantees an assigned change room and allows skip-the-line privileges, and can be used as credit towards a dress.

11Are VIP tickets refundable?

Yes. The Early Access VIP ticket is refundable up to seven days before the designated event.

12Can we bring children?

Children are permitted into the sales event under the same rules as everyone else, and are counted as part of the bride's party whether or not a VIP ticket is purchased.

13Can I wear make-up to the event?

No. We ask that you refrain from wearing any make-up to prevent stains on the dresses.

14Can we bring drinks?

Beverages are allowed while waiting in line outside the event room, depending on the venue's policies. No food, drinks or shoes are allowed on the showroom floor.

15Do you sell bridesmaid or prom dresses?

We only sell wedding dresses, though some customers have bought wedding dresses to use as bridesmaid dresses.

16What do bridal accessories cost?

Accessories are offered at discounted prices starting from $15 CAD.

17Do you do alterations?

Alterations are left up to you, and finding an experienced local seamstress is a good way to keep costs down. As a general rule, buy the size you need, and when in doubt buy a little larger.
