01What driver training programs are offered?
Seven programs in total, including courses for beginners holding a G1 or G2 licence and refresher and retraining courses for drivers with a full G licence. The main ones are the Beginner Driving Certificate Program and the Advanced Driving Certificate Program.
02Can I start the course without my G1?
Yes. You can start the classroom or online portion without your G1, but you must have it by the time you are ready to begin in-car driving lessons.
03How quickly can I complete the in-class lessons?
There are two options: weekend in-class instruction, completed in 10 calendar days or two weekends, and a four-day condensed program taught on four consecutive days. The four-day programs run only during holidays, summer vacation and March break.
04How long do I have to finish the course?
You have one year from your start date to complete driving school.
05Are payment plans available?
Yes, for the Beginner Driving Certificate Program and the Advanced Driving Certificate Program. You pay half the course fee when you start either the 10 hours of flexible interactive training or the 20 hours of classroom training, whichever comes first, and the balance at your first in-car lesson.
06How early can I take my road test?
After taking the course you can take your G2 test eight months from the date your G1 licence was issued, rather than waiting the minimum of one year that applies without the course.
07What if I need extra lessons?
Additional driver training packages are available. Speak to your instructor about what you need to work on, or call the office.
08When can I join a course?
New courses are added regularly, though times and schedules vary by location. The current schedule for driving lessons and classroom training is on the Programs and Fees page.
