How do I create a repeating event?

Set Repeat to Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly or Custom Days, then set Repeat Until.

1 min read 2 sections Updated 3 days ago

The Repeat field on the event form offers:

  • No repeat
  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly
  • Yearly
  • Custom Days — pick specific weekdays
  1. Choose the pattern.
  2. With Custom Days, tick the weekdays it runs.
  3. Set Repeat Until so it stops on the right date.

Always set Repeat Until. A weekly class with no end date keeps appearing after it has finished.

Worked examples

  • A weekly Friday class → Repeat Weekly, Repeat Until the end of term.
  • A Tuesday and Thursday class → Repeat Custom Days, tick Tuesday and Thursday.
  • A monthly market → Repeat Monthly.
  • An annual festival → Repeat Yearly.

The mistake everyone makes

Leaving Repeat Until empty. The event then keeps appearing in upcoming listings long after it has stopped running, and visitors turn up to nothing.

A repeating event counts as one event against your plan, not one per occurrence.
